After completing my high school years at UCC in Chatham, I moved on to Fanshawe College in London where I successfully completed the first year of Broadcast Journalism. However, I wanted to have more options than just radio and television, and decided to switch to a school that offered an array of journalism fields. So I left Fanshawe College and headed to Windsor to complete the two-year Journalism- Print and New Media course. Since graduating in 2002, I have worked as Communications Assistant for the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance as well as a writer/proofreader for RM Classic Cars. During that time I also began a successful run as the London Free Press’s Chatham-Kent correspondent for the Across County Lines column. As an opinion columnist I have received much feedback; while mostly positive, I have also received comments from those who oppose my views. I have even been the subject of a front page article in the Chatham Daily News for my prior Free Press column dealing with Chatham-Kent’s tourism. I currently write for Business Edge magazine's Ontario Edition based in Toronto and cover Chatham-Kent news for CBC Radio in Windsor. I am still looking for more freelance work in a variety of areas to increase my experience as a full-fledged journalist, communications specialist and desktop publisher.
